Description
Thiocodin 100ml syrup
Thiocodin 100ml syrup is a codeine used to treat an unpleasant cough that is not accompanied by coughing up secretions. The drug works in two ways:
- it allows you to get rid of bothersome, unproductive dry cough by reducing the cough reflex.
- It also helps moisturize the bronchi and produce mucus, and then helps expectorate secretions.
Thiocodin contains two active substances:
- codeine phosphate hemihydrate,
- sulfoguaiacol.
Codeine phosphate hemihydrate has an antitussive effect and inhibits the cough reflex, reducing the frequency of coughing attacks. Sulfogguaiacol has an expectorant effect, facilitating the movement of liquefied secretions in the respiratory tract and its expectation.
Thiocodin is intended for people over 12 years of age. It is indicated for attacks of dry cough and cough that change from dry to wet.
