What is Makatussin comp 80ml?
Makatussin comp 80ml (cough syrup) is a medicine for the treatment of coughs, in particular dry irritative coughs. It calms the urge to cough, thins the mucus and reduces congestion of the bronchial and nasal mucosa.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor: adults aged 18 and over: 2-3 times a day 5 ml. For accurate dosing, a measuring cup is included. Follow the dosage indicated in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is working too little or too much, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Active principles
5ml contains: Active ingredients: 10 mg dihydrocodeine hydrochloride, 15 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride.
Auxiliary substances: Sodium benzoate (E211), citric acid, neohesperidin dihydrochalcone, sucrose, cherry flavouring, elderberry concentrate, 70% sorbitol solution (non-crystallising), purified water. 5 ml contains approximately 4 g of carbohydrates (approximately 0.33 bread units).
When you cannot take/use Makatussin cough syrup?
- in case of known hypersensitivity to one of the components.
